Date: September, 01 2025 The Ministry of Energy and Minerals of the Republic of Somaliland, with support from UNDP, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Energy Finance Specialist under the Africa MiniGrids Program (AMP) and the National Child Project. This role is critical to advancing Somaliland’s clean energy transition by designing and supporting financing mechanisms for mini-grid investments, engaging domestic financial institutions, and mobilizing diaspora participation. Key Responsibilities:  Develop and implement financing mechanisms for renewable energy projects, including concessional and blended finance models.  Engage financial institutions and diaspora investors to unlock capital for clean energy initiatives.  Provide operational guidance and investment frameworks that align with regulatory requirements and promote risk-sharing for mini-grid projects. Ideal Candidate Profile:  Strong background in energy finance and sustainable investment strategies.  Experience in mapping financing instruments, identifying barriers, and creating actionable roadmaps.  Ability to deliver inception reports, operational frameworks, and facilitate stakeholder workshops.
